UNIQUE::When you curl your hair, try adding hair gel or hair spray to keep the spring into your hair. If that doesn't work then use rollers but put gel before..don't add so much though. It will turn hard as a rock!! Try Crimping your hair too, if my advice doesn't work.
MAY:: Your crazy, I hate my curls!! They suck! I WOULD DIE TO HAVE YOUR HAIR!!

I'm goingto try rollers tonight, the Velcro kind, but what I would do is put hot rollers in, and use tons and tons and tons of hairspray, allow time for the curl to set, too. I have the same hair problem as you, and if i want to curl my hair, it takes me like an hour to do it. GRRR!!!

dont use curling tongs to curl ur hair, use straightners ,lol i know it sounds weirs but u wrap a bit of hair around ur finger, then take it off so its still coiled up and then u put that piece of hair into the straightners and hold it there for like 15 secs depending on how curly u want ur hair to be and how hot ur straightners heat up to, do u get wat im saying? Since ur hairs naturally staright ull hav to invest in a pair of straightner oh yea and by the way this stays curly until the next time u wash it

the velcro rollers i used ( the extra large ones) didn't curl my hair, but they added volume

check out the ThermaSilk line. They've got products (such as curl enhancers and setting sprays) that work with the heat of the curling iron!

I ususally put hairspray and gel in before curling my hair. I curl my hair with a con-air curling iron. It works really well. The straightener thing works really good too.

Have you ever tried a perm? I would first try the cosmotology class at your school. it's much cheaper and it's really not that big of a risk b/c the teacher has to watch and aprove before that do whatever they are going to do. That SHOULD help. It worked for me. the perm did fall out after 3 months b/c of my baby-fine hair but it did give body, wave, and an easier time curling with an iron, hot/cold curlers, or whatever I use. If it is fine hair you also might try taking material about 2 1/2 inches long and an inch wide and rolling you hair in those with a small lock of hair (prolly 1in x 1in works, maybe a little smaller). It takes longer to dry but it gets tighter curls and you don't fry your hair with an iron!
