No walking is good for you but it doesnt help all parts of the body. If you want to work on your stomach i would suggest some situps.

Yes iT does help your stomach ...but you have to do other things along with it. Surprisingly *sp?* The most effective thing is Jumproping....upon that there is sit-ups. and crunches. And yea yoga helps alot too

The only way to lose stomach fat is to get your heart rate up... so this could include a variety of cardio exercises including walking but only if you're speed walking (because your heart rate has to get up).. and you're supposed to do cardio for 20 minutes I think it is to be at the fat burning level... sit ups and stuff like that wont even have an effect if you dont' do cardio first.

Walking would be good, go on the treadmill for like at least 30 minutes a day. It DOES help you lose wait, but you need to do other things to tone it up, such as stomache crunches and all that.

ok guys, thanks. i think the best thing to do is to start getting used to walking alot first, then i'll start the crunches.

Best thing to do is do sit ups for the upper adobmen. For lower lie down on back. Life legs straight into air probably between a 15 to a 45 degree angle. Lift head and arms and reach beyond legs. Hard but it works effectively. Also, if you get up early enough on Life at 5:30 a.m. mountain there is sumthing I think it is Denise Austin's Daily Workout or sumthing. ANyway its fun and I do it sometimes. And like they said before, swimming is resistant and is less likely to put force on your body but it'll take probably longer doing it that way. Walk atleast a mile a day lifting legs up high to work on thighs and butt. Arms and back you need 8 pound weights to loose fat in arms(heavier you might gain muscle instead of loose the fat or sumthing) from back behind you in forward and ect. Less T.V. and more exercise. Regardless of how tired or the mood you are in push yourself to go up and do it. Exercising gives you back energy if you work hard and long enough and makes you feel happy because it realease endorphins into your bloodstream. Chocolate releases endorphins too, but I don't think you want to gain more. Anyway, just push yourself to the limit. I got to go and do my own exercises. Later.

Walking's never really been my thing. You could try to do crunches, situps, curlups, or pushups. Personally, I do all the above and recieved amazing results! You could try it and tell us all if it works.

Your abdominals would be used as stabilizer muscles, so yes, walking does incorporate you abdominals.

No, it does not workout all your muscles but it works out many. To add to this exercise, lift weights while walking.

Cardio, cardio, cardio. Your body will lose weight from the last place you put it on. There's no way to target fat loss other than whole-body cardio. Tae Bo is a great workout for that!

Also you can try and set a goal of like 5 sit ups a day, then after a week or 2, step it up to 10, etc. And try power walking a lil bit each day.

The best way to keep the bottom part of your stomach flat is by Exhaling and expanding your tomach with air at the same time then inhale slowly and emty it of air pulling the bootom in. Its really good cause you can do it sitting down and you feel it working after one go. : )

.... or you can just maintain a low body fat by eating well and doing cardio.

I used to have a low body fat then I gained a whole bunch of weight and it's a lot better then having low or nearly no body fat.

Ditto- plus there's virtually no impact on your body.

So being fat is better than having a low body fat count? This is interesting... I guess obese people have nothing to worry about anymore.

Seriously now, anywhere from 6-14 percent body fat is a good range. I wouldnt go above 25% though.

Squats, sit ups, crunches, push ups, pull ups, pretty much any basic physical activity such as these will help keep you fit.

I dont recomment sit-ups ... if you wanna be fit then you need to do cardio exercises hands down...you have to eat healthier and drink plenty of water....i personally prefer 8 min abs because it got me a 6pack in less than a month but on top of that i jogged 3 miles everyday cept on weekends...if u wanna get ur shoulders built then i recommend shoulder shrug dumbells....but remember if u do start weight training..be prepared to be hella sore for the first few dayz lol....well i can go on and on about bein fit but all u have to do is eat healthy work out an hour or so on the weekdayz and ur all set
