now, the COCD (church of christ denomination) is undergoing change right now, so many congregations do not follow the legalistic teachings of the traditional COCD

Well I don't think we should get into a discussion about their beliefs, that was not the authors intent for the thread.

Just stating that if it were a true body of christ it would follow orthodox doctrine, just as many denominations do not. I am not trying to downgrade it in anyway, just give informaton about which.

There is a commonality merly misunderstood, the Cathlic Church is dedicated mostly to the Virgin Mary and to St. John.

I don't think it was your intent, but this makes it sound like we are against all music involving instruments, which we are not. We just do not believe it is necessary to use them in worship services because the New Testament does not mention the use of instruments in the worship service.

Actually I think you have no idea what you are talking about. The Catholic church was the first Christian religon... all other religons split in protest hence the word protestant. The church is founded on the teachings of christ. Here is the creed of the Catholic church with all our basic beliefs

Now many catholics have a devotion to a particular sait or the virgin mary... but christ is still the center of their lives.

um my best friend is a Church of Christ soo we cant hang out at my church 4 fun activities she wont even go 4 wednesday classes which we (the teens) go up stairs
i told her there is no music played on wednesdays but she wont take a chance
so i go 2 her church
