ive just seen a video of some people drifting and really want to start

i was just wondering which is better an r33 skyline or a 1994 toyota supra? for drifting like. where shall i start, in a carpark or something? any ideas?

also what could you get for a 1994 toyota supra with full service history recently renewed MOT and a garage anti corosion warantee and fully insured on third party and RAC break down service. usuall mods.

could you use the money to buy an R33 and are R33's any good? mark will know bout this one, so mark your view?

neither one of those cars is ideal for drifting, i'd suggest a 240SX (silvia there, i think).

go to drifting.com, there's a few people there that'll help you out. all i can say is, be quick and precise with your countersteer, and don't floor it all the time.

Thank dude, um i was thinking an RX7 turbo rotary/wankle car might be alright cos it was in my magazine as a striped out balanced drifter, but anyway, responce appriciated.

Since you live in the UK. I recommend you get a Nissan Silvia S13. The coupe, not the hatch. I heard it's way easier to control. Although, a good project to drift and play around with would be a Trueno. AE86 Toyota Corolla hatchback version. Brings goodness, goodluck!

RX-7s are twitchy.

Well, the 2nd gen are, I used to have a TII, and it wasn't too terribly easy to control

It'd lose traction quickly enough, but it was hard to gather up the ensuing slide and transitions were a bitch, with all that inertia behind you

then again, i'm not the best drifter..:D

YOU MIGHT WANT TO BUY A BEATER TO START WITH BECAUSE ALOT OF DAMAGE WILL GO ALONG WITH LEARNING TO DRIFT.... I SUGGEST A 240SX LIKE I HAD, AND OLDER S30 Z (240, 260, 280), TOYOTA CELICA, MAZDA RX-7.

THEY'LL BE ALOT CHEAPER THAN A SUPRA OR R33.... AND BY RX-7 I MEAN FB OR FC AND WHEN YOUR BETTER AT IT GET A FC, UNLESS YOU LIKE BUYING NICE EXPENSIVE CARS ONLY TO DESTROY THEM. ULTIMATELY ITS YOUR CHOICE BUT I WOULD THRASH A BEATER THAN GET A NICE CAR LATER WHEN YOU FEEL YOU CAN HANDLE IT.

Avoid a Supra or Skyline GT-R for drfting, too heavy and the GTR is AWD. The most notable and sucsessful drift cars are RWD and light...like: RX7 Second gen (FC3s) Silvia (S13,S14,S15) A.K.A. 240SX in the US (has a non turbo truck engine in US however), And Corolla GT-S (AE86) A.K.A. Sprinter in japan an some other places. I love the AE86 corolla and the FC, however there so old that they both constantly need but epensive for an older car, not a honda or newer toyota in reliablity. upkeep. I loved my FC an 86 though, they were worth it. Best bet.. S13 Silvia/ 240SX.

Good luck!

KA IS NOT A TRUCK ENGINE.... IF YOU KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT NISSAN YOU'D KNOW THE KA IS A CAR ENGINE AS THATS THE FIRST TYPE OF VEHICLE IT SHOWED UP IN. THE KA IS ACTUALLY A SMALLER AND MORE UPTO DATE VERSION OF THE OLD L SERIES ENGINES.

Ok her are some web sites with videos and some suggestions. go to:

http://www.drifting.com

And these will help you out. Also find a video store that sells the videos "Best Motoring" and there is the Drift bible. If you do not have these videos you can easly find them on ebay and pay a reasonable price for them. But i recommend going to the az240sx.org website they have some pretty good videos on there.

Buy a truck and put in a big block. trucks are already light enough in the rear and with a big block or even a small block drifting would be no problem... Plus, it'd be different.

I don't know what it is, but retards think domestics can't drift. They don't need to use braking to drift, all they have to do is put it to the floor and you'll be sideways in no time.
