I just recently lost a friend on wednesday.. he drowned in a lake and I want to dedicate this poem to him. He was a great guy. :(

Lost Friend

You were a good guy,
and always worked hard,
you went away so quickly,
it left our hearts scarred.

I still dont believe it,
even though,
I know your not here,
you were only 19,
who wouldve known,
your time was near.

Donnie,
Youre in our hearts,memories, and prayers,
who wouldve known,
how soon youd walk up heaven's stairs?

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, its hard to lose someone! Its such a very surreal experince. I know your poem was heartfelt, it just feels to me to be lacking something. I hope that didn't come across rude. But i still thought it was good!

[COLOR=Cyan]aww that's sooo sad i really try to look on not how they died but how they lived ! like how u had good times and bad cuz i remember when i got in a big fight with one of my best friends and the next day she was in the hospital b/c she thought i hated her and she wanted to kill her self and how much i ment to her he hurt me that she really didn't no me that much b/c she ment very thing in the world to me every thing and the doctors they cou;dn't no shit she ended up dieding a week later b/c of blood lose and her mom didn't give a shit her MOTHER just said um....... what now ? I hate her mother so much from this day i stilll hear my friends voice telling me shes sorry and she hope i forgive her and if she was here this day i would really give her mom a peace of my mind !!!! awww. im so sorry. thats so sad. i agree with what you said.. look at how they lived. thats a good way to look at it. even though i wasnt there when it happened from what ive heard every time i close my eyes and think about it i have my own version of how it happened. its so sad. he was soo nice to.. i hate how bad things always happen to good people you know? oh and -aussieangle- it wasnt rude.. thanks for telling me.

I think that it could be better but A for effort.
Also I'm very sorry about your friend it really sucks losing someone you care about. My best friend and first love passed away not to long ago, He was shot right in front of me. I wacthed him die when he got shot and I wacthed him die when he was taken off life suport. Although I've gotten over his death the void in my heart still remains there and it's hard to get close to people.
I wish you well now and forever.

how is that not a poem.. thats all i would like to know. people have their own way of writing things.. just because it doesnt fit your definition of what you call a poem doesnt mean that its not a poem.
