This is a short story about a suicidal soldier that only wishes to die as a hero...it's the beginning and a little confusing, you need to pay attention to it or you may miss important things, I hope you guys like it, I'm going to enter it in a writing contests, the theme is "An unlikely hero". Tell me what you think, if the attachment doesn't work then just tell me and I'll post it for you.

I'd say it was overall a good story. Could use a bit of touching up, but don't get disappointed. Just work on it a bit.

spanks, yeah its not a final draft. I just wish it was my writing, I had to copy the style of Stephen Crane and all, I hate the dialect in his books but what ya' gonna do? Makes all my characters sound like their from southern Kentucky.
