Well...spring break is coming up and its getting pretty hot where I live (Las Vegas)...so I wanted to start tanning.

I've never really done it before because I get bored or distracted or discouraged (im REALLY pale...well not REALLY but pretty pale) and I dont want to go to a tanning place because I know a lot of bitchy people at my school who work at all the good ones. Anyways, I dont tan easy...I burn easy though. Do any of you have any tips on the fastest way to get darker without burning? O and im going on a vacation with my friends over spring break and if I could be tan by then, thatd be great (or at least a lil darker).

I get impatient easily too. I started going to the tanning bed this year, but before that, I used to lay outside in the sun and tan. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do, except use a tanning lotion that promotes faster, deeper tanning. In order to not burn, you will probably have to keep a careful eye on your skin and also take it slow.

Good luck!

go to a salon and have a fake tan. save yourself from the damage the sun will do to your skin. itll age you faster and also increase your chance of cancer if you sunbathe

Dior Self Tanner is the best self tanner out there... it looks so real! The first day it might look a lil orange but once it fades a bit its wicked!!

use a fake tan then go out tanning. since your skin already changed color it will keep getting darker. and use baby oil if you want good taning oil. it also makes your skin really soft.

you should try a fake tan at a tanning salon my friend got one and it looked great you couldnt even tell the difference but if you are going to tan in the sun i would advise you use sunscreen to help decrease your risk of gettign melanoma or something.

I think tanning is okay, it is better than being sunburn :)

If you burn easily, skip the tanning bed and the sun...try a spray on tan at a salon, or they have tons of tanning products. Actually...they have this new Airbrush at home kit, it's by salon breeze and comes in different shades. It's only $20.00 and comes with 2 extra cartridges when you buy it from salonbreeze.com...I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like it might work pretty well. If you don't want to do that, they have self tanning lotion you can put on, and it tans only slightly everytime you put it on so you can control just how tan you want to be, and you don't look blotchy.
