i am adicted to junk food wut should i do it is ruining my life!

Hi Haley,
Like quitting smoking, simply going cold turkey quitting will prove difficult. My first advice is simply to find a healthy snack option, something that tastes good but it is easy on the calories. The best way, you may find, is to exercise regularly and with moderate to vigorous intensity. Keeping physically active reduces appetite, and high calorie, densely starched foods will become less desirable. Back to the snacks, fresh fruits always are good, they are healthy and taste great. Junk food is alright in moderation, providing you find a way to burn off the calories.

If I want to stop doing something I usually punish/reward myself. Like when you eat something you know you shouldnt, dont allow yourself to play a game or *gasp* post on TS. Well u only have 3 posts so maybe that wont help. But anyways, if you go a week or something without eating junk food then reward yourself...but yourself something youve wanted, or convince one of your parents to buy you something youve wanted. O another thing I do is put off buying something until ive accomplished what I wanted. Like when the Sims 2 came out, I didnt buy it until I finished my huge research paper for English IV AP.

when i have a craving 4 junk food i chew on gum lol it really works u should try it :cutie: hope it helps cyas ps i go through heaps of it to. lol

i do that too, make sure its sugar free gum though. also you can drink diet coke and stuff if you have a craving for sweet stuff, just make sure not too much. oh and drink lots and lots of water, it fills you up

I have the same problem and this helps.
Junk food in the long run will catch up with you and you'll have extra pounds that won't come off no matter what. So while your young it's a good Idea to find a sport or activity that will help you stay in shape. Just try not to eat so much junk food. Just like every once in while reward yourself with your junk food.

Thanks for the advise! I will try that and let you knw if it works. I love gum and soda and i think it would be a good idea to make it diet and sugar free. Thanks so much!
