How about you use a colour that people can actually read.

You should be more specific as there are many different lip piercings (horizontal, vertical, centred, not centred, top lip, bottom lip, etc).

It really depends on your pain tolerance and if the piercer hits a particularly sensitive spot (i.e. a nerve). I've had a centred lip ring and it didn't hurt me when I got it done, but I seem to have a high pain tolerance when it comes to piercings.

As for advice... Go to a good piercer, make sure the piercer and piercing environment is clean, and if you notice any gum/tooth erosion due to the jewellery rubbing against your gums and teeth, take it out immediately.

Oh, also in many piercing studios you have to be at least 16 to get a piercing done... If they allow you to get it done without parental permission and you are under 16 then I'd question their credibility.

Um my sister got her lip pierced and she really regreted it. It got infected and she had to go to the hospital and everything. It was really bad. And unless your like a punk rocker and like 16 or 17 then you should get your lip pierced. So yeah

no, i got it done..and it didnt hurt..it was like a little pinch and only hurt for like 5 seconds..no big deal bout pain, but make sure if you do decide to do this make sure you clean it and do the treatment, cuz otherwise THEN something could go wrong, but other than that you shouldnt worry bout pain, and for tips..like i said clean it good, and do what they say, make sure the place is clean, and uh dont think what is happening, think of how happy you WILL be after, and you should have a fine timee turned out great, good luck and dont worry much just relaxe worrying could make it worse

Ok well, I am 13 years old I have my Labreh navel toung and cartilage done..I did my labreh Myself No pain...it heald Once..then i re-peirced it then it hurt like a bitch because of scar tissue.

I got my lip done that's the pic it didn't hurt for me, it hurt a little when it was done and got a little swollen at frist I am very senctive, My bottom lip is already fat enough to just fill in the lip ring so when it got swollen and me not putting ice on it made my lip a little bigger then lip ring so hurt a tiny bit actually not really hurt was just annoying so I soaked it in warm water and it was back to normal lip piercing looked sweet and and don't really notice it.

But when you do get it done you could have problems especially with where on your lip you get pierced and what jewelry you have in it or who does it they may do it wrong and if you play with your lip alot or bite your lip alot or often. Pain depends on the person most don't hurt but you could be a rare person and it will hurt a bit and it is a REALLY REALLY good idea to clean it every day before you sleep and after you wake ect. after every meal after every drink or it will get ifected quickly my friend didn't and hers only lasted 3 weeks, never change the jewelry unless you MUST for a very very good reason the circler rings are best in my opinion. You have to be smart about a piercing if it hurts tell some one, if you don't you could screw up your lip and eh leave a ugly ugly scar same with every other piercing though hmm and Good Luck with you piercing if you choose to get it ^_^ It always looks awsome!!! Just at frist a little hard to take care of unless your a fast and good healer. ^_^

my best freinds brother got his pierced and he said all u could feel was like a pinch, and then it stopped hurting, but that is all i can tell u

Anyways, according to most kids I know who got their lip pierced on the side, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most painful) it was about a two.

Go to a reputable piercer and make sure you keep it clean so it doesn't get infected.

Oh and I've heard that getting your lip pierced in the middle can result in gum recession, but I'm not sure if thats a myth.
