So, I thought it would be a fun experiment to dye my hair black. Now, I have really fair skin, and my hair is naturally a chestnut brown. Well, the black dye looks TERRIBLE. It contrasts so harshly with my skin, and I hate it. I look really scary, and I just want my old color back.

How do you remove black hair dye? If you have any tips. Apparently the saying is "once you go black you never go back," but I am desperate here. I'm seriously going to cry at how bad I look. Please help.

um its very hard to do, youll have to bleach it out probably, i would go to a salon to see what they can do, otherwise youll end up damaging it bad

you could dye it your original color & while that grows out, so will the black.

I had the same problem once. Well I didnt have brown died to black hair. More like blonde to very dark brown almost black. I am fair as well so it didnt look right at all. I went to my hair stylist and did this color stripper on me. It took alot of the darkness out. My hair went to like an auburn color not exactly my natural, but a major improvement of what is was. My suggestion is not to die your hair again because if you dye it it will probably turn out some weird color, and really damage you hair. I would go to a hair salon and ask them to use a color stripper on you.

Aww, Beth...I hope you figure it out. I love your other hair colour. I doubt you'll post your pictures here, but yeah. You don't look bad at all, I just miss your natural colour.
