Has anyone heard any news of the "recut" version of "The Passion of the Christ"? Here's what I've heard so far...
Director Mel Gibson reserrects his pious hit, minus some gore.
The director's cut of Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ Recut" is actually six minutes shorter than the original 127-minute "The Passion of the Christ," one of last year's biggest films.
The footage Mel Gibson deleted was some of the goriest, which he says he removed to make it more palatable for a wider audience. Some critics believed the film's depiction of Jesus Cchrist's crucifixion was relentlessly, shockingly bloody.
Gibson explains in a video introduction on the film's Web site that he was flooded with responses to "Tthe Passion" after its debut nearly a year ago, many from people who loved the movie.
But Gibson added, "Some of you...thought that perhaps the intensity of the film was prohibitive. So I listened to that and it inspired me to recut the film to cater to those people that perhaps might not have seen it because of its intensity or brutality."
That's all I've heard and you know what...I think Mel shouldn't do a recut of the movie. I mean even if some people havent seen the "real deal" i wouldnt think they'd appreciate not wanting to less 6 minutes less than the original. I mean how are you gonna remake something having done the real original......Plz rate or reply. Or fukin do sumthin i need to noe wat you guys think!!!!!!!!!!!!!
