Anybody seen this movie?

If so, what have you thought about it?..

My boyfriend showed it to me...

I loved it.

I think it should be more known with people..because it's pretty damn realistic (Thus my not so pushy way of saying they should show it in school instead of those fake drug movies where they're like "Say no to drugs".

Anyhoo...yep..

Opinions? o_o.

I thought it was ok, but I dunno about realistic

:::spoiler warning:::

What kind of jail would let someone walk around with a huge gaping infection on their arm? Even the worst jails probably check everyone over from head to toe when they come in.

Well it's my favorite movie (together with the doors movie)

1) I love the way they edited the movie to make you disgusted
2) The soundtrack is just amazing
3) [warning, shallow] jennifer connely is in it :)
4) The boombastic ending
5) Not necesary the most realistic look on addictions but definitly a shocking look on it...

Yeah, this is a damn good movie.

I was pretty fucked up the first time I saw it, so my emotions were...rollercoastering.

But yeah, everything said up there in teh previous posts about covers it.

That movie's fucking amazing. It started out so innocent and happy and then got so dark so fast. The last few minutes were unbelieveably intense. I had no idea a movie could do that. It's hard to decribe how incredible it was. Amazing.

You want the real experience, watch the Director's Cut. Wow.

That movie is just...man. The funny thing is though, my friend used the DVD case of the movie to break up his coke. HAHA!!!

Kinda ironic and defeats the purpose of the movie but I laughed.

I don't really think it's a film you can "love" just because it's so utterly devestating.

I watched it about 2 and a half years ago and am literally unable to watch it ever again.

You should love it because it's utterly devastating. If anything, if you do acid, meth or any other extremely harmful drug, this should be a wake up call. I know of several people who's lives were saved because of this movie. This is a movie that should be loved, rejoiced and recommended to friends and family.

Is this the same movie where that drug fiend woman strips and gets sodomized by a group of businessmen?

Yeah, but in the Director's Cut she's having sex with some other chick with a double headed dildo while the businessmen watch. I think it was a lot more powerful. ;)

I think you missed my point. Sorry, I don't think I made myself very clear.

I do admire the film for its content. So many films these days concerning drug addiction often gloss over or involve some form of redemption for the main character at the end, e.g. Trainspotting - Renton gets off the skag. Requiem however left it in the darkest place possible, leaving the audience little hope for the characters: it was more true to life.

What I meant however was that it was far but an enjoyable experience for me; one that I will not be partaking in ever again.
