I am going to be a Freshman this year. And I Hav no Idea what's goin to be in style this year. And lets face it, when it comes to Fashion I am the sporty kind. But i love looking pretyty, and willing to wear any style. So any Ideas? thanks a bunch!

Hmm well last year's "in-style" was vintage. Well this year I think it might be some kind of beachy look, since they have all of these beachy type movies and shows out now (Blue Crush, Surf Girls) But then again Idk...so wear whatever you like to wear.

that's another thing fashion has done to piss me off. they took vintage and made it "cool." before they decided that vintage was "cool" enough for them to wear, u fashion slave preps wouldn't even dare think of going to a vintage outlet mall and wearing something that's old. and the fashion world kinda made a mockery out of vintage. i saw one of those brand name stores over in orlando when i went there for vacation. they had shirts that were brand new and were MADE to look like they're vintage. fashion is an idiot.

Why use someone else's style? Isn't it more fun to create your own and not worry what other people are wearing? I use to be what you would call a "prep", but the lifestyle and clothing style gets really boring, really fast. You show up at a party where 5 different girls are wearing the same damn thing...Not my style.

By the way...thongs r the best... anyway go to the mall and find things that u think are cute...if they aren't totality in style but they look good on you its better than not looking good but being in style...start a new trend...have fun! Like all the tight clothes were in for a while and all the fat ass girls would be running around it shirts about 15 sizes to small for them...if they would just wear what looks good on them then they would have much more luck!

ya know what.. im a big fashion dork.. i read every cover of seventeen magazin... i order like 10 different fashion magazines.. and shoppin and looking my best is totally me.. this year i just bought a lot of really pretty pants.. like all jeans but they all have like flowers on the back pockets or sonething like that ... and i bought a lot of sweaters and just really cute tees with sayings on then like angel and stuff like that.. hope that helps..

Seriously, to whoever started this thread, you need to think for yourself. Wear what you want to wear, without worrying about what's "in". What's "in" for you, is what you like and what makes you comfortable. If you happen to like the latest fashion craze because YOU like it, then that's fine, but don't like it because it's what's new and in. Just wear what's clean, comfortable, and quickest to throw on, without making too much of a fuss, because gym class will ruin your hair and makeup anyways.

look i am the sporty type to and i still look fine well grl look as long as u match and u look good and it is cute clothes then u be fine do ur hair some make up not to much then u wil be perfect dont worry and dont u have to dress hwo u want to dress if u want to dress good then that is your choice ok and good luck :D

Like I always say - a good pair of maternity sweat pants are never out. Especially in a flattering heather grey. Not only for moms-to-be any longer!
And thats straight up advice from a true fashionista.

Most stores don't carry things that are horribly out of style. Go to a store and buy whatever you like and feels comfortable on you. Or just look at what other people are wearing. As for me, I don't have this problem at school. Thank you uniforms.

I totally noticed that too, especially like in the window displays at A&F and stores like that they have jeans for about 60 dollars made to look old. Then they have shirts that are made out of thin crappy fabric with worn lettering for about 35 dollars. It's ridiculous what the fashion industry will get young kids to buy nowadays.

Well diffrent color plaids are going to be in the Juicy Couture Rhumba halters are a must have! and I suggest you get like all the diesels because the new ones that they have are to die for it is also a smart idea to get plenty of pleaded skirts. So a typical days wardrobe would be a pleaded skirt with a shirt of another color that has some of the color that your skirt is, for example if your skirt is pink then wear a yellow shirt that has pink in it. And then some diesels with ankle socks never wear stockings because showing off your legs is a must especially with your pleaded skirt!Adorable! I can guarentee you with taking my advice you are going to turn heads!
