ok A.I. was released a long time ago, but I just recently watched it again. The ending of it is so incredibly out of place! This move is about artificial intelligence...spielberg has to somehow incorporate his aliens towards the end. The movie should have ended right when David was underwater with the blue fairy.
Instead it has to go 2000 years later where manhattan is under the snow. Aliens then come and dig in the snow and find David (robot) frozen, they read his mind and then put him into a virtual world, where he sees a CG blue fairy (from pinocchio) and talks to her the aliens are above watching. David (robot) has a converstaion with the alien and then he spends one day virtually with his mother.
Its a craaazy ending but its the REAL ending for the movie. I guess spielberg cant leave out his aliens in his movies (hes still an awsome director).
Has anyone seen this movie and agree the ending is out of place???
