I donno if all DSL thingies are the same

but maybe you could help me, whoever you are

everytime someone uses the phone in the other room, I get disconnected...not when I use my phone though


do I have to use the filter thing that they gave me?

they gave me like 3 or 4

DSL has nothing to do with phone lines, and shouldn't need one at all or be affected by one.
yes, you have to use the DSL Modem they give you, otherwise you're not actually using DSL. i'm not too adept at DSL though. don't know if it needs a seperate filter or anything. i wouldn't think so, but could be wrong.

anyone else have an ideas?
there has to be someone on here with the service.

they have this little filter that goes into the phone outlet, the filter has two things, one is where the phone is supposed to connect, and the other goes to the modem


but I'm thinking since they gave me more than one filter, maybe I should use it on the other phone outlets.....however I thought they were just for if you have a second or third computer...

You have to put the filter on all phone lines that have a phone plugged into them I think; I can't remember. That SBC DSL was such crap we got rid of it as fast as we could. I just saw a brochure they sent us yesterday "COME BACK!!" lol

all providers nag you to come back...god, when I was trying to cancel AOL, they kept pitching a new plan, then when I said no, they said they'd transfer me and I might get disconnected...lol I was..every time :mad: :(

I wuv it. It doesn't have anything to do with the phone lines here....
