So, I saw Incredibles and it was awesome...beyond awesome. But I don't really care for Polar Express so I was thinking about seeing National Treasure this week. It looks fun, which is my kind of thing. I was wondering what you guys thought?

I will shoot myself before I see National Treasure. I'd rather just rent Donnie Darko and stay home... because I always spend like $25 every time I go, and then I'm pissed at myself when I leave the theater with an empty pocket.

How do you spend $25 dollars at a movie? I mean I can come upw ith many ways but...seriously. Couldn't you just not spend $25 and then go see movies...
Donnie Darko is a good flick though, have you gone through thebonus materials where he tries to explain his theories...?
After the Sunset? Brosnan and Selma Hayek? How was it. I haven't heard anything really about this movie until like 3 days ago. But it didn't really have the draw that National Treasure has on me. I like the action packed treasure hunt movies like Indiana Jones movies of old. And the Knights of the Templar history/secret society pull is really cool.

I really want to see National Treasure too. I'm a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies and I was thinking along the same lines you were, that this movie seems kind of in the same vein as those movies. Plus I like Nicholas Cage.

Nicholas Cage always seems to deliver a good performance (most of the time). And somehow he succeeds in enteratining me. And I really like most of his past movies like Matchstick Men, The Rock, and Con Air was pretty good. So I am excited just like you. I am curious how they pull of the "Stealing the Declaration of Independence" thing. What a great, unfeasible, and entertaining little subplot.
I am surprised that there haven't been more quality treasure hunting movies. I mean Tomb Raider was ok... well no it really wasn't. Oh well, this will probably be a good one.

Heh. Are you a LOTR fan then? Sean Bean is a quality actor along with Harvey Keitel. Which were surprising little additions to National treasure...

I am a huge LOTR fan, but I always wished Bean would have played Faramir instead of Boromir... Regardless, it will be good to see him in this, and I think I am seeing it tonight!

National Treasure seems good. I saw Ray. Now, that was a good movie.

I haven't seen Ray yet, but I've heard such good things about it. I think that I would rather see NT in theaters, and wait until Ray comes out on DVD. I like action flicks better in the theaters, and dramas at home on the couch. :)
