Hey everyone! Want to see what u guys think is the better show. I love both shows, but I want to hear what all u think.

i like them both

I like The Simpsons better.

I feel like I've grown up with The Simpsons, so I'm going to have to go with them. Family guy is really funny though.

Family Guy just doesnt compare.

as for me in case u r wondering, i am really a huge fan of both but i am going for the simpsons because they were my favorite first. both shows are hysterical but unfortunatly the simpsons have been on too long and their jokes and stories are becoming to simple. The simpsons i am afraid has lost its edge. Family Guy is more constant and dosen't worry about offending everyone, it is a milder version of south park. the problem with family guy is that there were only about 50 episodes so the stories are shown more often and the joke eventually stops being funny. if i said who was funnier now i would say family guy, keeping in mind i am a die hard simpsons fan, but if u took the simpsons from seasons 4-7 then they are definatly funnier by an longshot.

I love both as well, but nothing competes with Simpsons.

I love both to death... But The Simpsons has to take the cake for the reason that I grew up with that show. I've been watching it since I was like... Four or something. That's 14 damn years... I heart the Simpsons...

I've never bothered to watch Family Guy. My dad has a DVD, so I think I might watch it later now that you have brought the idea to mind. The Simpsons would win for me in that case since I can't compare.

Slightly off topic, did anyone hear that Matt Groening(sp?) said that the Spimsons is ending in 2009 because of a lack of new storylines? That will be a sad, sad day.

yes :( , 2009 will be 20 years.. thats an awesome effort.

there is a patch of about a season or 2 from a few short years back that really annoyed me, in overly ridiculous storylines and cheap blatant attempts at humor. it has started to pick up in quality again.

i like family guy a lot better, it's more clever and funny in my opinion. i used to love the simpsons, but lately the episodes have been getting tired and boring....they should have retired the series gracefully a year or two ago.

I grew up with the Simpsons too and loved them, but I have to say [in my opinion], it's lost it's edge, and I'm a bigger fan of Family Guy now. Family Guy is just a little more random and offensive.

I think that the Simpsons is one of the most over-rated shows in the history of television. It just never made me laugh.

I agree, to an extent. Family Guy is MUCH more funny, but I still watch the Simpsons more.

Family Guy, but Southpark pwnz both.

110% agreed. Only because South Park has been on longer than Family Guy and has remained funny.

They're both awesome.. just different. But if both were on at the same time on different channels I'd have to pick Family Guy.
