Nightmare Before Christmas is my favourite animation and musical, well Stop motion musical.

The soundtrack is sublime.

Danny Elfman <3

There are few who deny, at what I do I am the best
For my talents are rnowned far and wide
When it comes to surprises in the moonlit night
I excel without ever even trying

With the slightest little effort of my ghostlike charms
I have see grown men give out a shriek
With a wave of my hand and a well-placed moan
I have swept the very bravest off their feet

Yet year after year, it's the same routine
And I grow so weary of the sound of screams
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King
Have grown so tired of the same old thing

Oh, somewhere dep inside of these bones
An emptiness began to grow
There's something out there, far from my home
A longing that I've never known

I'm a master of fright and a demon of light
And I'll scare you right out of your pants
To a guy in Kentucky, I'm Mister Unlucky
And I'm known throughout England and France

And since I am dead, I can take off my head
To recite Shakespearean quotations
No animal nor man can scream like I can
With the fury of my recitations

But who here would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King with the skeleton grin
Would tire of his crown, if they only understood
He'd give it all up if he only could

Oh, there's an empty place in my bones
That calls out for something unknown
The fame and praise come year after year
Does nothing for these empty tears

Danny Elfman's got a good voice. And every time I hear an Oingo Boingo song now, I think of Jack Skellington. :p.

Anywho, excellent movie. Yes. It's just so bizarre. And I agree, the animation is awesome.

I don't think I've ever gone longer than a month without watching this film- I really am obsessed with it. And Tim Burton films in general.

I don't even want to think about how much I've spent on NBC merchandise, since I began collecting the original released stuff when I was about fifteen, plus I have most of the merchandise released from the tenth anniversary. You can sell me anything if it has Jack Skellington's face on it :(

I like that movie a lot, and so do most of my nieces and nephews. Rock.

Yes, I left a post saying I'd be gone for at least ten days. Two weeks ago.

I only made a topic because if things worked out, I was supposed to be staying with someone over all summer and I wasn't sure when/if I'd come back. But they didn't work out.

Ah.

Well, I'm not sure whether to say, "Sorry to hear that," or "Glad to have you back."

So..."Sorry to hear you back?"

:p

I posted before how much I love the movie. How many people that have posted own the soundtrack. I do and it is awesome.

What is everyone's favorite song from the movie?

Mine would have to be "This is Halloween" or "Kidnap the Sandy Claws"

Don't own the soundtrack (don't recall it ever being sold in any stores in any of the towns I've lived in). But favorite song...wow, I don't know, good question. Hmm..."Kidnap The Sandy Claws" is definitely a funny song. But I also like the one later in the movie after Jack's sleigh's been shot down and he's feeling all sorry for himself and stuff...oh, what's it called, "Jack's Lament", right?

Edit: I think I have my favorite: the song at the end that Sally and Jack sing when they're on top of that hill. Just 'cause that ending's really sweet. :).

It's one of my favorite movies. :D

I have the DVD, which you never get tired of watching, and the soundtrack, of which all the songs I could probably sing to you off the top of my head. hehe

Very good movie. :D

I love that movie. They always used to play it on christmas eve. I always wanted him to go behind the other doors too.

I love Tim Burton movies. I watched Edward Scissorhands this morning. It's so sad. :(

me too :nodding:

And on subject of NBC.. yhere's a place near me that sells LIFE SIZE squishy jack skellingtons, which makes me wish I could justify spending £200 on one. Or spending £400 on two, cause they have the Santa version as well.

I remember i bought the little action figure of the lady that fell apart all the time, that was the greatest. I would like throw her down the stairs and shed fly in pieces and then i would put her back together again....
