Has anyone watched this yet?

A great re-make of the original Zombie flic if any of you have seen the original!

When your just about to get up and leave also thinking dam that was a great movie to bad there wasent any nudity the director throws some tits on the screen in the end credits just for the sake of it cheers to him I say.

I give it 10/10 go see it now!

I loved the remake, it was its own film compared to the excellent original by Romero. Nice gore and good acting for such a film especially from the the lead Sarah Polley.

Can't wait for the release of the dvd in october.

never really seen the original but when i saw the newer version.....best zombie movie made recently so far

It's a pretty good modernized version of it. Although there are not very many zombies these days, so you can't really compare it to anything. It was better than I thought it was going to be.

Unineresting, full of holes, doesn't bother with resolution, predictable and the acting is shite.

Oh and a great actor like Matt Frewer is completely wasted having only 3½ lines before being put out of misery.

THAT IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER! I loved it because it was actually really funny in parts.

It was hilarious in all the places it wasn't meant to be.

I loved the movie, and I'm not someone that likes a lot of the new ones. For a remake it was great. I hear people bitch about how the story line is different, the zombies characteristics aren't the same, and that it's just one big gore flick.

Personally, I think that changing the story line was necessary. To simply take the entire plot from the original and add no new twists would just be boring, not to mention an insult. You can't copy a classic like that.

The zombies had to be changed due to how incredibly immune our generation is to scary things. What's scary about a couple of slow ass dead things? Really now. Giving them nearly super human speed and strength is brilliant. I was even scared at some points.

As for Dawn of the Dead just being another blood and gore, freak flick, that's also pretty necessary, for the same reasons stated before. We're so immune to everything, that unless it is magnified by 100, it won't phase us in the least bit. We thirst for disgusting blood, gore, death, sex, etc...

I could go on and on about why this movie was good, but I have other things to rant about...

ps- another positive about this movie was Sarah Polley. She's hot and Canadian...
