Last night I went and saw this movie, entitled "Supersize Me". The only place it was showing was one of those indie type movie theatres that usually show artsy movies and documentaries. Basically movies that show at places like the Cannes Movie Festival.
Anyways, I definetely recommend seeing this. Find where it's playing near you and watch it!
It's basically like an informative comedy, sort of a documentary. It's about the eating habits of Americans, particularly the fast food trend. This perfectly healthy guy, with the help of 3 doctors, actually went out and ate nothing but McDonalds for an entire month. 3 meals a day. If they asked him if he wanted to "supersize it" he had to say yes. Then the doctors measured the change in health, thru weight gain and blood tests.
The movie is amazing. It's educational, information, yet completely hilarious. It's outragous and eye-opening.
My boyfriend took me to this movie in particular, because he needed to write a review of his reactions from it for his college nutrition class.
You should go see it, if you haven't already, and respond with what you thought about it. It's awesome.
Check out any of the independant theatres in your area for it.
