I am infatuated w/this man. And no, it's not just because he is gorgeous, even though he obviously is. I think he is one of the best actors Hollywood has ever come across. I have many a favorite actor, but Johnny is probably my top of the top. He doesn't pick to do movies for the awards he could win. He picks what HE wants, not what will get the top gross at the box office. I'm sure he enjoys the large amounts of cash he receives, but he isn't cocky about it. He doesn't like the whole Hollywood frenzy...at least not usually, of course he does do some appearances, it's his job...he doesn't even like being a teen heartthrob. Well, I wanted to just post my opinion about this talented actor and man. Post your comments. Do you like him? Why? Why not? What's your favorite movie of his? Etc? Etc?

P.S My favorite movie he is in is probably either...Edward Scissorhands, Blow, Sleepy Hollow, or Benny and Joon. I love all of them I have seen though.

Anyway, Johnny Depp is a good actor and it's good to see other people like him for his talent and not just his looks. Granted, he is a good looking guy, but he's also a talented man, in my opinion. Edward Scissorhands and Benny & Joon are probably my favorite movies of his.

Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies. I think his best acting job was in Ed Wood. His worst movie was Fear and Loathing.

If you haven't seen 'Fear of Loathing in Las Vegas" I suggest you do...It shows why some of his later roles seem so natrual...

He got nominated for best actor by the Acadamey. Not bad, not bad at all, considering Pirates isn't a movie they'd typically look at for acting.

i think he's one of the most underrated actors in hollywood, probably because of the roles he's chosen...(being good movies, not just popular ones)...he's brilliant and able...i've only seen what's eating, edward, fear AND loathing, and pirates...he has the talent to really fill the roles he takes...he's great.
