I always thought they were pretty cool and I'm usually more into it because I know it's a true story -- not just made up characters with fancy special effects.

There's a new documentary coming onto IFC this month called A Decade Under the Influence. I think it looks really good - it talks to a ton of filmmakers about what it was like to make movies in the 70s which is when there was a huge surge in really great movies.

Yeah.

I watch a lot of music documetaries in particular-that kind of thing interests me, especially ones that deal with the history of music, but I've watched documentaries about other things, too.

Interesting you mentioned the IFC channel, because I watched a documentary on there this morning called "The One Dollar Diary"-it talked about the making of that film "The Million Dollar Hotel". It was really neat.

oh, that sounds interesting. I'm sorry I missed it.

IFC usually shows some really good stuff. Its another reason I'm excited to see A Decade Under the Influence when it comes out. I think it'll be really interesting plus iFC is going to show 70s movies after the documentary installments.

interesting.

I'm seeing some ads for A Decade Under the Influence. It comes on to IFC this week and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I hope it'll have some good background info on filmmaking in the 70s.

got to watch IFC's A Decade Under the Influence this weekend. It was really good. I liked getting to learn behind-the-scenes stuff about that time in filmmaking. And now I have a loooong list of 70s movies to rent. I was able to catch Taxi Driver and Mean Streets this weekend. I want to rent Chinatown next.

Has anyone ever heard of 'Bowling Columbine'?

I think I spelled the school wrong but its about the whole Columbine school shooting and gun control, and as boring as that may seem I have heard its really good, got great reviews, and even won an Oscar.

I want to see it..

You mean "Bowling for Columbine." Of course, I've heard of it, and no, I don't want to see that piece of shit.

documentries are ok, but i perfer Danceumentires. it combines the brodem of a documentry and makes it fun by making it all about dance dance revolution. thats pure entertainment.
